This Messerscmidt two engine helicopter  was used extensively by JIRPER(Juneau Ice field Research Program & Environmental Restoration). It was used to fly equipment, food, medical supplies and medical evacuation duty if necessary.  I flew the aircraft momentarily.  It is a very nice helicopter.  Note the inflatable pontoons under each skid.   This is something that is very new for this type of aircraft even today.   ERA Helicopters of JUNEAU Alaska, leases the aircraft to the Juneau Ice field Research Program (NSF), to help to continue to study this body of ICE in our North Pole Region of our precious Earth.
